I don't craft near as much as I used to...but thanks to becoming a parent I know that my crafting days may be coming back! This was one of my favorite, easiest crafts of late....pretend makeup.
This all started because my niece was turning two. Instead of your normal toys, clothes and other trinkets...I went with the fun girly stuff...necklaces, bracelets a purse and makeup.
Her daughter loves to get into makeup, and this was the easiest project ever. Collect all that old makeup you don't use, and put it to good use!
This is the easiest project ever, it takes 5 minutes of active time and about 24-48 hours of drying time.
Need:
Makeup containers you don't use
Toothpick, knife or something a little pokey
Nailpolish
Clean out the makeup containers using a toothpick to get out all the old gunk. Then wipe it down to get all the excess off.
Now take that funky colored nailpolish you never wear, and pour a little into the containers.
You can add sparkles or swirls if you'd like...but I kept it pretty simple! Then let dry for a day or two, and you are good to go! Mess free makeup!
At age 2 and age 19 months, our two daughters absolutely loved this stuff. They can put makeup on each other or themselves, just like mommy!
