Hi Baby,
Its been 2 weeks now that I've been sick with a cold. The beauty of pregnancy is that my immune system is down, all the while I'm forbidden from taking any medications to assist with the cold. Add that to the already sleepless nights of getting up every 4 hours due to vivid dreams and having to use the bathroom...its a real treat.
None of that is your fault. These next 2 years are basically a "short term pain, long term gain" philosophy. We are preparing for you to have just as much colic as your sister did.
With your big sister at Week 6 we were seeing Broadway shows, eating sushi and house hunting. I'd also started experiencing morning sickness.
Compared to Week 6 with Lorelai--This week I didn't get any sushi, but we did go see a show (Brian Regan) for a date night! And thank goodness we are not house hunting. Speaking of, you are going to love our "new" house. Lorelai loved the carpet when she was crawling, much more so than the hard wood floors we had her on for the first 8 months or so.
With the cold, its been hard to distinguish between cold related yucky-ness and pregnancy related. I did learn that a Neti Pot is pregnancy approved (since no drugs go into my system) so I experienced that glory for the first time. Apart from thinking I was going to drown myself, the experience could have been worse. Your sister hates the Frida...but she has been getting that a lot lately due to her cold.

I had a doctors appointment this week to confirm I'm pregnant (that's what they call it for some reason---the "pregnancy confirmation" appointment) and I am indeed pregnant. Not a lot has changed since the last time I was pregnant....most rules are still the same. Your first ultrasound will be when we get back from Canada in about 2 weeks!
