PinkBlush Review and $75 Giftcard Giveaway

*Giveaway Closed*
Well if you haven't noticed yet, I'm all about pointing out the pros (did I mention I'm suddenly not lactose intolerant...which is awesome) and cons (see any post prior to this) of pregnancy. I mentioned last week in Week 28 that I learned that pregnant people can outgrow maternity clothes. This is something no one thought to tell me. I don't think I quite realized how large I would be getting during this process...and realizing I still have 10 more weeks to get even larger (and that Lorelai currently weighs about 3lbs...which means she will double or triple in weight by the time she is born) is truly mind blowing.

Let me tell you one of the secrets to maintaining my sanity....reasonably priced maternity clothes. Even better, reasonably priced cute maternity clothes that ship for free, ship quickly, and are so darn cute.

I want to highlight one thing that I think is absolutely essential in pregnancy, comfortable lounge wear. There is nothing worse than feeling fat and huge and uncomfortable...and when you go to put on your favorite pair of pj pants...they all of a sudden don't fit over your hind-quarters. If you didn't know...the widening of your backside is a seriously shocking and depressing fact of pregnancy for many of us. One of my absolute favorite of these maternity stores is Pinkblush Maternity. This place is awesome. Don't worry if you're not pregnant, they have fantastic non-preggo clothes too....but for us preggos that are dealing with terrible maternity selection, this place is the answer to your prayers. My godsend has been a pair of lounge pants that I bought early on from PinkBlush, that will most definitely be getting me through the next 10 weeks (and I'll be able to wear them even after the baby because of the drawstring) Most recently though I received my new favorite item from there.....a robe.

Not just any robe, this robe is so stinking cute. I originally picked this out with the hopes of looking fabulously cute in the delivery room for photos, but immediately started wearing it around the house. I get home from work often at 4:00 and it is not uncommon to see me walking around on a weekday afternoon in this robe around the house. It has plenty of room for my belly, makes me feel wonderful...and will always fit. In pregnancy, having something comfortable to wear around the house that you feel good in, will completely change your day.

Do my lounge pants clash with my robe? Yes. Do I care because I look just fabulous and am so crazy comfy? Nope.

If you're not already sold, here are just a FEW other items that have been from Pinkblush that you've already seen me wear (and yes I wore them around the world for our trip in September too) :

(basically you can see that I'm wearing these items through every single stage in my pregnancy)

Being as wonderful as all of my readers are, I wanted you all to have a chance to try PinkBlush (maternity or otherwise) for yourselves. Comment below to enter to win a $75 giftcard to PinkBlush! In your comment, let me know the answer to one (or all) of these questions:

1. What was your favorite article of clothing during pregnancy?
2. Given the option, do you pick floral or stripes (mine is clearly floral!)
3. What item of clothing is missing from your wardrobe right now that you hope to find on their website?

Giveaway will be open until Tuesday!

*I was offered a product of choice in exchange for this post. That being said, all thoughts are mine, and everything said is absolutely true...and I made over 6 orders of clothes from Pinbkblush prior to working with them as a blogger...so I can tell you that I'd love them, even without the free robe*

I bought a robe too, and I wore it a lot when I came home from the hospital. Planned on wearing it after birth, but decided I was too tired to care and didn't want it stained. My favorite article of clothing during pregnancy was black dress pants that had the stretchy maternity band, I wore them to work and church all the time. I wear more stripes, but I'm in love with the pinkblush floral! Right now, I need to go shopping for some shirts/blouses for work, so I plan on looking at their website. -libby munsell

I've been looking at PinkBlush for a baby shower outfit cause everything they have is amazing!

My favorite thing is the belly bands I got to extend the life of my pants! It makes it a littler less depressing being able to at least wear the same pants even if I have new shirts!

My favorite pregnancy item is tunics! I pretty much live in them pregnant or not. I've always been a stripes girl but I've been digging the floral trend this season. So excited for you!

Hmm I'd say stripes when I'm pregnant but floral for other times!

This is one of my favorite posts of yours - I love that you're so darn honest about pregnancy!
1) Yoga pants and capris were my BFFs when preggo
2) Floral
3) Cute shirts
1. Maternity yoga pants
2. Floral!!!
3. I've been wanting to get a robe too! Also, some fall shirts. :)

On a side note, I'm due just a little before you (at the end of November) and have SO loved reading your blog! I love knowing that other moms have experienced some of the same things as me! ☺️

1. I'm only halfway through, but I'd have to say maternity jeans. HI HELLO WHERE HAVE THESE BEEN ALL MY LIFE?!
2. Stripes! I want to love floral but I'm so afraid of not matching that I pick stripes because they seem easier.
3. Maternity dresses! I don't have any right now and am getting to the point that non-maternity isn't cutting it anymore.
I LOVE PinkBlush! That is where I got my dress that I wore for my maternity photos and it was sooo comfortable!!
My favorite pregnancy item was my maternity leggings! I'm not really a leggings person, but I became one quickly when I was having a winter baby. I also really loved ALL of my low waist maternity pants/jeans. These are perfect for after delivery when you want to look normal, but still can't fit into your old jeans, and don't want to mess with the full belly cover on pants!
I love stripes! I buy everything in stripes!
So I'm probably missing/needing some floral in my closet!
Can't believe you are already 10 weeks out!! I know you just can't wait to meet her! She will be perfect!

This is so gosh darn cute!
Oh of my favorite maternity items I love during pregnancy is definitely all the stretchy pants. Be it leggings or the jeans. It's all so comfy.
I really really love stripes with floral! Have you seen that before? It's so super cool and unique. My maternity hospital bag is actually exactly that print!
One thing I'd love from perhaps their site would be more comfy sweaters for all this cold weather.

I love pinkblush!!! Their stuff is sooo cute!

1. Maxi skirts! They got me through my 3rd trimester. ;)
2. Floral! However everything maternity seems to be strips.. I feel like it just made me look bigger then I really was.
3. I could really used a new pair of proper fitting pants! My old jeans just don't fit the same anymore. :(

1.) I had one maternity shirt that I was in LOVE with and wore it every time I could because it was so comfortable and hugged my belly just perfectly!

2.) I'm definitely more of a stripes person with the occasional floral thrown in if I'm feeling it

3.) I love their Maxi dresses & striped shirts!!

I'm not pregnant, but I can't lie, I got a little jealous of my pregnant friends when they got all sorts of cute clothes from here! Glad to hear they have stuff for us non-preggos. ☺️ But I'm a sucker for floral as well, which I think is why I love their stuff!

Hey!! I love Pinkblush too. This pregnancy I've already scored two dresses but now that the weather has changed I could use some new items to last through the winter.

I'm only 20weeks and my favorite article of clothing until now have been dresses!!! I'm a 3L & my law school requires us to dress professionally from 8-5 so its easier to throw on a dress than it is uncomfortable dress pants at this stage!

I am typically a stripes over flora gal.

However, the item missing from my wardrobe that I have been eyeing from Pinkblush is a cute ROBE! I saw a beautiful floral robe that I'm dying to get!

It's been so fun reading your blog, congrats again on your pregnancy!

Traveling with Kids: Setting them up for successful flight

Each flight we take with our kids, we are often overwhelmed by fellow passengers commenting on how great our children travel. I won't even pretend that it has anything to do with my parenting or my children's innate ability to be good travelers. By no means does that come without a lot of behind the scenes work, thought and preparation. Our children are not naturally good travelers...rather we do everything possible to set them up for a successful (i.e. enjoyable, quiet, and somewhat relaxing) flight.

Do you want a toddler that doesn't make a peep when you travel? How about a baby who doesn't fuss too much? Here are a few of our secrets to setting your children up for a successful flight
It starts before you even book your trip.
Schedule your flight at a time that works well with your child's sleep schedule. That means no getting in at midnight, no leaving at 5 a.m...and for us we often try to avoid nap time as much as possible (once are kids are down to 1 nap a day…

Things You Learn About The Newborn Phase The Second Time Around

Look, we've all been there. As a first time mom you are totally crazy. You need every little thing imaginable to be able to raise your baby. Your baby has more places to be set down than you have chairs for everyone  else in your house...crib, saucer, bumbo, highchair, rock-n-play, play mat, swing...you get my point.
Now second time around, you might just do things a little differently! Here are a few things I learned my second time around:

My biggest secret? Your baby wakes up less at night the lower you turn down the monitor volume.
Think on that a minute...does that make me a bad mom? No! It means that I'm not waking up at every little thing! And allows Pepper learn to put herself back to sleep on her own after playing/talking a bit.

Don't even bother buying a baby book or it will be filled with "Date baby laughed 3 months?"  Yep..the question mark is actually written in the baby book, because I'm not 100% sure when she laughed.

You will forget everything tha…

Omaha Performing Arts: WeBop

If you're anything like me, you want to find all kinds of activities for your kids to get involved in as a way to educate, entertain and cultivate their physical and mental growth. For little ones, sometimes that is difficult to find. We've explored swim classes, sports, gymnastics...all great things, but we really wanted to look at something else for Lorelai to experience.

Music is such an important part of a child's life. Personally I believe that my involvement in music at a young age made me more successful and well-rounded! Due to involvement in choir, musicals and band I was able to gain confidence at a young age for public speaking, since I was familiar with standing in front of an audience. I also feel that reading music is such a great skill for children to learn as they grow older, along with familiarity with instruments, and to appreciate the arts. Not only that, music can help a child learn and retain information (example...do you still sing your ABC's in y…
