Hi Lorelai,
Okay you can stop growing now...you're making me....well...large. We noticed before, but definitely noticed this week...you love donuts. If I want you to move, a donut does the trick!
You are making mom a lot more tired than I used to be...especially when I have a long day of photographing!

I learned this week that it's not just in my head...Kevin noticed too that people stare at us sometimes and you can tell they are thinking we are too young to have kids. I'm mistaken for teenager more often than I care to admit, and somehow getting pregnant has made me appear even younger. Kevin noticed someone giving us the once over at the mall this weekend and you could just read their face "Oh those poor kids don't have a chance...too bad they made that mistake." I wasn't even wearing my high school juicy sweatpants that day and high school bulldogs shirt (joking...I don't have either of those...but Kevin would like you to know I still wear my middle school track sweat pants...in public. Don't worry I was never actually on track, I joined for the sweatpants and promptly quit)
The point is, I want to have a shirt made that says "I'm 1 year away from 30, I've been a lawyer for over 3 years and I promise you, this was planned."
Your dad and I are starting to plan more for your nursery this week too...but it hasn't been easy! We want it to be just perfect for you!
This week we are planning like crazy for our Babymoon to Europe too! We will leave near the end of Week 24 of pregnancy, which means you'll be traveling around Europe starting in Week 24, and you'll return in Week 26...which will be getting pretty close to third trimester!
You had another doctor appointment this week, where I got to hear your heartbeat again! I think I was most surprised by how much higher you are now than before. The heartbeat monitor is getting pressed above my belly button now, rather than below. You are kicking higher too, so that should have been a sign to me.

Symptoms: My dreams are crazy vivid right now. Other than that the same things apply as before (tire more quickly and hungry all the time!) I am loving all these baby kicks right now, I hear they will start to get painful later but right now it's pretty common to see me starting at my belly laughing. Its absolutely hilarious to me. When I read about the first baby movements, a lot of people said it would feel like a "flutter", but for me it feels like a lot of involuntary twitching.
Sleeping is getting a little tough too right now, but nothing too bad. I was so busy one day that I only had ice cream from 2 pm til we went to sleep at 9 pm...I woke up in the middle of the night starving....which meant I ate a protein bar in bed and went back to sleep. Classy.
Promise: I promise to try not to embarrass you...except when its funny. For example I will do my best not to wear dorky clothes, or say "uncool" things around your friends. However, I will sing out loud to you in public, because that is hilarious.
